We've come a long way from wooden-framed boats lined with sea-lion skin which were first developed by the Inuit peoples thousands of years ago.  Simply designed and easy to handle, these vessels can provide visitors to the Channel Islands an opportunity for surf riding,  exploration of sea caves, or a relaxing tranquil paddle in one of the island's pristine coves.  We can plan a trip for any level from a family outing to an advanced adventure.

 We provide the location, instruction, paddles, helmets, PFD, and kayaks (no sea-lion skin here only clean, modern, easy-to-handle rigs) to suit every level.  For those accustomed to their own craft, bring it aboard! We are equipped with a one-of-a-kind, custom engineered "After-Deck."  

The "After-Deck" is just one of  many features available only at Brandywine Ocean Charters.  We can typically fix six individual watercraft upon our vessel and still have plenty of room for a relaxing ride to and from the islands.  Anyone who has journeyed with us can tell you that our personalized attention, quality of equipment, and small craft amenities, are truly above and beyond ones expectations.     

Come along for cave exploration or a casual paddle in a bay, or both.

NOTE: All kayakers must be 12 years of age or older with adequate swimming skills. All those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult with advanced swimming skills.
